I am a varsity lacrosse player, choral singer, and Broadway lover, who is known to carry a book (or three) in her backpack. \n\nI've always been interested in politics, different cultures, and current events, so listening to the podcast \"The Daily\" is a part of my daily routine. My first sleep-away summer camp was a Model United Nations conference at Boston University, where I passionately got into character representing Kazhakstan. With the ever-changing political landscape, I felt the need to continue educating myself on the politics of other countries. In my opinion, to get a better understanding of global politics, it is necessary to learn about the people behind the politics, and what better way to do this than through cuisine, dishes, and recipes? Watching my mom create Korean and German fusion dishes inspired me to take a closer look at a political conflict and create a fusion dish out of the regions involved.
